Loaves and Fishes
Dear Friend:
I am so blessed by your friendship and consistent support of our ministry along with the passion we share to make this world a better place and in the process see multitudes come to Christ, especially in the midst of the skyrocketing crisis affecting all of us. This is why I am writing today to share with you a life-giving scriptural perspective on the current situation and a subsequent call to action that will benefit not just you and I, but many others. Please, grant me the privilege of your attention by reading this personal email.
First, we must understand that God is allowing the Babylonian world system to be shaken, not His Kingdom (see chapters 16-18 in my book Transformation). The greed and corruption of its captains stand fully exposed in a context of bewilderment by world rulers desperately looking for a solution that only a miracle can produce.
Second, as a result, this is THE hour of opportunity for God’s people to introduce divinely inspired models that world rulers will embrace, if for no other reason than out of desperation.
Third, many Christians are already doing this with excellent results. We have captured a powerful model in our newest DVD, Transformation in the Philippines, so we know it is possible.
Fourth, because we have the solution, we must proactively inspire and empower believers everywhere to bring hope to the hopeless and “to turn the heart of the Nations to God.” To that end, we are building a first-of-its-kind website (www.TransformOurWorld.org, coming in April 2009) to serve as an authority site for transformation-minded people, including a 24/7 Internet-based radio station.
In light of these hopeful perspectives, consider the following call to action:
1) Don’t take counsel from fear. Click here to e-mail us your prayer requests and to receive my periodic Biblical Perspective on Current Affairs. Allow us to speak life to you.
2) Accept as our gift to you the newly released Transformation in the Philippines DVD mentioned above. You will witness inspiring good news that will show you how much more is still possible!
3) Partner with us to build and become a user of www.TransformOurWorld.org, which will dispense tools and networking opportunities to accelerate transformation in homes, schools, workplaces, cities and nations like yours.
As encouraging as these perspectives and response possibilities are, however, current financial circumstances may have you feeling like the young lad in the Gospels debating internally what to do with his last ration of food while in the midst of a hungry, tired crowd. “Do I eat it and satisfy myself for a short while? I definitely have a right to it. Or do I give it to Jesus, because I have a sense He will do something with it?”
Knowing you, I’m certain you prefer the latter. So, how can you go about it? I wish to invite you to team up with me to become a founding member of The Fish and Loaves Fund. The fund’s name reflects its spirit: like the young boy in the Gospel, we are challenged to give Jesus our lunch for Him to multiply it and feed starving multitudes.
The Fund is structured around the concept of $1 a day ($30 per month), which calls for a small forgo in our daily routines (e.g. a soda, newspaper, etc.) and allows even people of modest means to participate. 1,850 units per month (or a grand total of 21,600 units a year) is what is required to fully fund the development of the website, the production of new inspiring Transformation DVDs, and Harvest Evangelism’s annual budget, including our personal support.
Because the number of units required calls for a substantial response, I am asking you to consider subscribing as many monthly units ($30) as possible in addition to anything else you may already be doing, or are planning to do, for our ministry.
