caught between two extremes
Dear Friends:
If our ministry has ever been of encouragement to you, I wish to ask for two minutes of your time. I promise, it won’t take longer than that.
We have never been caught between two more dramatically opposite extremes.
Twenty years ago we pioneered city transformation and today thousands of cities are being transformed. Four years ago we moved our focus up to nations and now we are on the verge of seeing two, maybe three nations experiencing transformation. Our ministry teams are based in five continents equipping pulpit and marketplace ministers to take the presence of God to the marketplace 24/7.
As a result, for the first time we have seen Presidents, Governors, Senators and Mayors saved, and their spheres of influence changed in such a way that myriads of people are coming to Christ. We are now mentoring top-end influencers who are creating corruption-free zones that are debunking the inevitability of systemic corruption. We have inspired and mentored a new breed of politicians who are challenging the status quo. Transformation churches and 51% Kingdom companies are becoming the norm.
Furthermore, in November we will conduct the most catalytic conference – one that is bound to impact the entire Pacific Rim and beyond. At that time we will release eight new Transformation DVDs documenting transformational changes in business, education and government, and will also roll out a state-of-the-art interactive website for Christians to network globally on Kingdom matters.
Things could not be better ministry-wise.
However, at the other end of the spectrum, ironically, when we stand on the threshold of what looks like the End Time revival, the financial future of our ministry is hanging by a thread because so many of our faithful partners are being buffeted by the economy. To compensate, we have trimmed our budget to sub-minimal standards, tapped all our internal resources, including lines of credit, to keep vital operations going, but in spite of all that we are in a very tough spot.
Our dilemma: we cannot stop, yet at the same time we are impeded to move forward.
Anticipating the weakening of our support due to the global economic crisis, earlier in the year we launched the “Fish & Loaves Fund” with a very low giving threshold ($30 a month) and the motto “a dollar a day goes a long way in Jesus’ hands.” Click here for details.
The fund received 246 subscriptions for $30 monthly units. This additional support sustained us for a while, but since it represents only a fraction of the 2,250 units required to cover the gap in our budget, we are now unable to carry on short of receiving additional support.
But here is where hope lies: if you will join us in fervent prayer for enough friends like you to help subscribe the still missing $30 monthly units, and provide $202,000 in one-time gifts to meet past due and imminent obligations, we will be able to carry on. It is a reachable goal if those we have ministered to come alongside us, even with just a dollar a day.
I prayerfully ask you to respond to this sincere plea by clicking here to invest the most you are able, at least a dollar a day. You will keep us going at a time when the message is most needed and opportunities are the brightest.
I know, as you do, that in times of extreme pressure like this our faith is strengthened and His grace operating in us is proven to be sufficient. The Lord is our hope and to Him we look while making our needs known to friends who have been blessed by our ministry.
Thank you so much for your time, and for responding promptly since we must now make decisions that will impact the future of the ministry.
Most grateful in Christ,
Ed Silvoso
P.S. Please let me highlight two key things I am asking you to be part of: 1) the power of agreement in prayer, and 2) the power of a $30 monthly gift because God will multiply it once you have placed it in His hands. Click here to invest.
